My love affair with Pinterest/ cookie dough dip noms

I have a secret. Sometimes at night after a long night at work, long after my boyfriend has fallen asleep I’m still awake tapping away the screen on my phone. I’ll just lie in bed for hours building up my pin boards as I add recipes that I’ll drool over, projects that I’ll never get around to making, and building my dream wedding. Seriously, I refuse to add my boyfriend or connect to Facebook on Pinterest out of fear that he’ll run for the hills. Almost 2 years together might not matter if he sees my “Someday…” board.

Pinterest may be the greatest app/website to hit the app store/interwebs over the past couple months. I lose myself in this damn app! The hours fly by while I’m in bed pinning away until I look at the clock and realize that 3 hours have gone by…how is that even possible?

Pinterest has left me feeling enlightened these days. I’ve added so many recipes to my repertoire, learned new tricks to clean, and have a handful bucketful of new ideas for my future house and wedding. As much time as this has sucked away I think it was totally worth it!! If not for Pinterest I wouldn’t have found the recipe for cookie dough dip. This turned out to be a hit at my potlock at work.

Ingredients for pure heaven

  • 1 8-ounce package cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup toffee bits
  1. 1. Cream together cream cheese and butter. I used my Kitchenaide for this task which made this a breeze
  2. Add all remaining ingredients and mix until well-combined.
  3. Serve with graham crackers or apple wedges. Nilla wafers work well too.

Robyn also notes that you shouldn’t use reduced fat cream cheese as this can change the consistency.

Honestly, best dip ever!!!
